GET TO KNOW
Visual Grace Designs

“Shantel, you have never been ordinary a day in your life” This is probably the reason I couldn’t just call my company Kasper Designs and move on with my life. I wanted something unique. After spending what felt like a thousand hours brainstorming, I came up with Visual Grace Designs. It’s a good thing nobody really uses a phone book anymore or that would have been a horrible choice. I was new to marketing and design and didn’t have a clue what I was doing, but I made a choice and stuck with it. I have gone through a few logos in the past decade and have discovered I am my worst client. Visual Grace and I have grown up together, always changing, learning and growing into something better than the last version. I can’t wait to see what’s next!

Meet the Team

Shantel Kasper
Graphic & Website Designer

I was a graphic designer long before I had an art degree, before I had a computer, and before I even  knew what a graphic designer was. I illustrated and colored all my birthday invitations and our family’s Christmas cards; I even designed the brochures and business cards for the “travel agency” I ran when I was 10. To this day, I love designing birthday, graduation, and wedding invitations. There is something very nostalgic about it.

Associates in Business Management 2010
Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design 2012

In addition to being a freelance graphic and web designer since 2010, I have had the pleasure of working for several advertising and marketing companies in the Rogue Valley.

Lithia Motors: Graphic & Website Designer
My experience at Lithia taught me to work quickly and efficiently. Working with all the major car brands in the industry, I learned to follow very strict brand guidelines as well as legal guidelines. I learned how to work as part of a team and how to take criticism. I conceptualized and designed advertising and marketing collateral across multiple channels. I created banner ads, web graphics, social media ads, magazine ads, newspaper ads, billboards, banners, and business cards for our dealerships. I worked closely with project managers, account managers, and our legal team to provide effective ads in short turnaround times.  I communicated efficiently with internal clients, dealership personnel, and executive stakeholders through project reviews, processes, and approvals. When Lithia acquired the DCH brand, I was responsible for the brand and store identity development. I worked on several corporate marketing and communication projects.

Burning Diode: Office Manager; Graphic Designer; Website Designer
I met the owner of Burning Diode (a graphic designer and truly skilled web developer) while I was still a design student. He has been an amazing mentor and I was flattered when he asked me to come work for his company. During my time at Burning Diode, he taught me how to design and build WordPress websites. I also designed business cards, flyers, brochures and rack cards for our customers. Additionally, I created and managed email and social media marketing campaigns.

Busy Bee Media: Graphic & Website Designer
As Burning Diode started to move in a different direction, I decided it was time to take my skills somewhere that better aligned with my career goals. Busy Bee Media is a marketing company that specializes in web design, search engine optimization (SEO), pay per click (PPC), social media advertising and reputation management. While working at Busy Bee Media, I have been able to further my skills as a web designer and programmer. I have learned that if a company truly wants to grow in their market, then having a website is simply not enough. I am constantly learning new skills to assist our customer in managing their online presence and generate leads.

I am passionate about helping others and giving back to my community and the causes I support.

Eagle Point High School
In 2017, I began working with the Eagle Point High School Theatre group designing and creating costumes, programs, and flyers. I have had the pleasure of working alongside a truly gifted theatre teacher who produces an experience that far exceed the high-school theatre expectation.

Department of Human Services:
I have teamed up with the Klamath County Department of Human Resources: Child Welfare Division to assist in their search for foster parents and community awareness.  I have designed flyers, newspaper and magazine advertisements, invitations, and banners.

Puplandia Dog Rescue:
Who doesn’t love helping dogs and puppies? In April of 2016, I was approached by the founder of Puplandia Dog Rescue, when all she had was a cool name and a dream. I created their logo, helped her develop a brand and create awareness through flyers, banners, advertisements, business cards, social media ads, and invitations to all their fundraising events. I feel proud to be a part of their success. Since they started they have found forever homes for 324 dogs mostly from Oregon but have gone as far as Hawaii, California, Washington and Texas. The logo I created for them has been featured on KGW, KATU on T-shirts, hoodies, hats, and tank tops all over Portland, Oregon. It was a proud moment for me when I recently spotted a car here in Medford with a Puplandia logo on it.
